The Rev. Rowan Larson
Rector
The Rev. Rowan Larson (they/them) became Rector of St. James in January of 2024. A graduate of Union Theological Seminary (NYC), Rev. Rowan previously served at churches in Newton and Cambridge in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Rev. Rowan married their wife, Kelsey Larson (she/her), in Ennis, MT in 2019. When Rev. Rowan is not at St. James, they can most likely be found at their barn in Manhattan with their dressage horse, Ramsey, a 17.1 hh Shire/Friesian cross. Rev. Rowan also enjoys reading, fiber arts, fly fishing, and hiking.
Logan Henke
Director of Music
Logan J. Henke is a conductor, vocalist, and composer who makes his home in the Gallatin Valley. A 5th-generation Montanan from rural Miles City, Logan is committed to exploring the intersection of choral art and the Episcopal faith in Montana's uniquely beautiful setting. Logan earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting at Northwestern University, where he studied with GRAMMY Award-winning conductor Dr. Donald Nally, and Dr. Andrew Megill. Logan received his undergraduate education at Montana State University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
The Rev. Greg Smith
Priest Associate
Father Greg Smith is originally from Twin Bridges Montana, where he grew up on a ranch. He attended Carroll College and then moved to Rome to go to seminary. After five years in Rome (and two theology degrees later) he was parish priest at the Cathedral of Saint Helena for eight years before taking a leave of absence to get his masters in counseling psychology. He became an Episcopalian in 2014 and was received as a priest in 2015. He is now the Priest Associate at Saint James and is also a practicing psychotherapist. He’s the proud husband of Ken and they are the dads of their dogs, Dexter and Phyllis.

The Rev. Valerie Webster (she/her) is delighted to be sharing in the ministry of St. James in her semi-retirement. Rev. Valerie was previously the Associate Priest at All Saints in Big Sky. She currently serves as the Ecumenical & Interreligious Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Montana, as the Vice-President of TEC's Episcopal Diocesan Ecumenical & Interreligious Officers Board, and is the
Moderator of the Gallatin Valley Interfaith Association. She is also a trained spiritual director.

Organist
Kyla Rosenberger is a pianist and organist who recently moved to Bozeman from Fort Worth, Texas. She served churches there for four decades and was active in the local American Guild of Organists in many capacities. Kyla has keyboard degrees from Kansas State University and Texas Christian University. She is married to Brian (who sings in the St. James choir), and they have two adult children. In their spare time they enjoy their cat, Spy, attend classical concerts, and explore the great outdoors of the Northwest.
